The Stylistic Furniture Renovation and
Production Shop.
The owner of the shop is Mr. Stanislaw Wiezik who has run his Furniture Renovation Shop
since 1974 first located at Cieszyn, then, since 1984 in the Strzegocice Park and Palace
Complex in the Pilzno borough, which he renovated by himself (for which work he recived
the Ministry of Culture and Performing Arts highest award in 1986 for the best user of a
historical building).

He has many years of professional
experience to his credit as has pursued the professional experience to his credit as has
pursued the craft ever since 1974 entirely on his own. He holds the Certificate of
the Master of Artistic Crafts issued on May 5th, 1979, and the License of Furniture
Renovator issued on Nov. 1982 by the Ministry of Culture and Performing Arts.
We have done over 700 projects concerning renovation of stylistic furniture
for such clients as:
- The National Museum in Krakow
- The Nowy Wisnicz Castle Restoration Board
- The Lancut Palace Museum
- The Museum at Koslowka
- The National Museum in Kielce
- The Cieszyn and Warsaw Monasteries of the Hospitaler of John of God
We have made copies of furniture for these clients:
The Council of Ministers Office - The Park Villa 1 (copies of a set of seats in the Louis
XVI style, a Classicist secretary, an Empire secretary, the Louis XV style bookcases, an
Empire cabinet and console table set, a Louis XVI inlaid folding table)
- France - about 460 copies of sets of Louis XVI style furniture of solid wood
(chestnut, cherry tree) as per available historical documentation, including a dozen of so
sets of Louis XVI seats).
- Germany - 30 copies of mainly Louis XV or XVI style furniture - inlaid English bookcases
- Austria - the State Auction Houses: 16 copies of Baroque and Classicist furniture,
including 8 copies of secretaries in the Maria Theresa style, the Kolbuszow style
commodes.
- National Theater in Warsaw 580 pieces of furniture of Louis XVI style (upholstered
furniture, tables, chest of drawers, pier tables) the House of Creative Work in the Palace
at Radziejowice.
I have displayed my works in stylistic furniture renovation and production at exibitions
both in Poland and abroad (Germany, Austria, Japan, USA).
I have a full assortment of local and exotic venner: all kinds of nut wood, palisander
(Brazilian rosewood), mabogany, lemon, all kinds of fruit-bearing tree wood, rosewood.
I also have a wide variety of many years old naturally seasoned timber: various sorts of
nut tree, mobagany, ebony, palisander, oak, linden, pear tree, cherry tree, elm, pine.
I have a fully equipped library of books on the stylistic furniture.
We work the following techniques: sculpture, marquetry, Boulle's technique, gilding. |
